Yr 10 LAUNCHES B324 PRODUCTION PORTFOLIO IN MEDIA

You are doing Video Brief 6:
An extract from a new television programme, in any genre or mix of genres chosen by the centre, such as a sitcom, a crime drama or a new children’s television programme, together with a storyboard. The sequence may include titles. Maximum length: three minutes.
• All material must be original, produced by the candidate(s), with the exception of music or audio effects.
• If candidates are working as a group, each group member is expected to take on a specific role such as director, camera operator or editor
 PREP
1. Make a folder on your laptop named B324. We will place all entries for the B324 Production Log in the folder. Create a Word document with the following header which you will use on EVERY entry. Obviously, you put in your own name and number:

SHERLOCK HOLMES 3838 Claremont Fan Court School 64680
GCSE J526 UNIT B324 Production Portfolio in Media Studies: Production Log
VIDEO BRIEF 6: Extract from a new television programme (crime drama), together with storyboard. The sequence may include titles.
2. Sign up for ScoopIt! (free version) and create a board called TV CRIME DRAMA.
3. Start 'scooping' TV crime drama to your board. Look in TV listings. See below for what I "scooped" in about 10 minutes of research.
4. We are going to make the opening of a TV crime drama programme and we start by doing research into the genre with written evidence that we have done so.
5.  Under each of the Scoops, aim to write something yourself about the kind of TV crime drama that it is. You may describe its appeal or its target audience or its conventions.
