FLY ON THE WALL FILMS

FLY ON THE WALL FILMS are developing the treatment for an innovative horror /  comedy mockumentary hybrid. In class, after settling on the genre, we started to focus our research in a number of ways, using Pinterest to collate initial ideas. We comment under some of the images that we have collated.

• We wrote the treatment (Miriam) for our film Behind Closed Doors
• We decided to call our production group FLY ON THE WALL FILMS for two reasons: it signals the documentary genre and 'fly' has unpleasant connotations, as flies are linked with rotting food and death.
  
• We researched genre conventions by studying similar films and literary contexts (Siko). Our hybrid genre includes documentary, mockumentary, black comedy, period drama, vampire, school and horror. It is a rich mix with great comic potential.
• We gathered images of character stereotypes and casting (Max)
  
• Using Pinterest again, we collated make-up designs and costumes (Tiger)
• and gathered ideas for appropriate props (Sarah) 
• as well as location (Miriam)
