I am composing a list of title posts that you should have. Unless you are doing the comic horror prep, this is what you should do this evening: check your Production Log and make up any gaps. Also, apart from the St Vlad's group (see below), you should make a start on numbers 12 and 13 tonight. Below, I have put some very recent photos from my other classes to show you what I mean.
Remember:
- write thoughtfully, thinking of your reader.
- Explain and analyse; don't just describe.
- Use visuals where it is helpful.
- The Brief
- RESEARCH: BFI SCREENONLINE
- RESEARCH: THE ART OF THE TITLE (name the film here)
- RESEARCH: THE ART OF THE TITLE (name the film here)
- RESEARCH: THE ART OF THE TITLE (name the film here)
- RESEARCH: TITLE SEQUENCE OF STRIKE, BBC TV DRAMA
- RESEARCH: GENRE CODES AND CONVENTIONS
- RESEARCH: OUR AUDIENCE I think that we haven't done this yet so I'll show you in class
- PLANNING: TREATMENT
- PLANNING: STORYBOARD
- PLANNING: STORYBOARDING OUR PRODUCTION
- PLANNING: CHARACTER TYPES IN OUR FILM (in Pinterest or collage tool)
- PLANNING: MISE-EN-SCENE IN OUR FILM (in Pinterest or collage tool)
You should show evidence of research, so that is tonight's prep, below.
(It would help if you posted on your individual blogs the recent research that you started last lesson, such as the Pinterest, treatment and so on.)
Tonight, you have a choice:
1. If you have Netflix, watch some of What We Do and write about its audience appeal. Define its genre and refer to genre codes ans conventions (such as comedy, horror, vampire, mocumentary). Include the image.
2. If you don't have Netflix, watch the trailer on YouTube and write about its audience appeal. Define its genre and refer to genre codes ans conventions (such as comedy, horror, vampire, mocumentary). Include some images.
