FRAGRANCE SLOGANS

Research I have researched fragrance slogans:

More than a fragrance- a promise Promesse Cacharel
Are you going somewhere? Chanel No5 Brad Pitt

No bottles to break – just hearts. Arpege
If you want to capture someone’s attention, whisper. Coty Perfume
Promise her anything, but give her Arpege. Arpege
The Power of Cool. Davidoff Cool Water
So delicate. So Beautiful .Estée Lauder Beautiful
Share the fantasy. Chanel

Planning I have brainstormed some exotic, sophisticated, glamorous, foreign names. I have then invented appropriate slogans with connotations that will sell my brand by delivering its values:

Solitaire As precious as diamonds
Vespa Whisper romance in the velvet dusk
Sotto le Stelle Your heavenly romance

Amour For your inner femme fatale

L'Homme Total power

Zen Noir Master Your Destiny
Charisma Cast your spell

Connotations Here I explain the reasoning behind my brand name choices:
Both Solitaire and Vespa are Bond heroines, so I am hoping to tap into the current wave of Bond enthusiasm and subliminally suggest that the wearer of these fragrances could have the sexual appeal associated with glamorous film stars who played opposite Bond. 'Solitaire' is also a term for a diamond, with the connotations of romance, engagements and lavish gifts. It suggests sparkle and excitement, successful conquest and being swept off your feet: all these associations are highly desirable to the target buyer. 'Vespa' suggests 'vespers' or evening prayer as well as being the Italian word for wasp, given to a brand of popular scooter used by hundreds of Italian girls in cities. It has a touch of both the exotic (Italian adventurousness) and secrecy (meeting your date after dark). The words 'whisper' and 'velvet dusk' are suggestive of romantic encounters, warm Italian evenings and shared secrets, whilst 'precious as diamonds' speaks for itself as 'a diamond is a girl's best friend', linking a highly desirable, expensive token of devotion and admiration with the fragrance.

Sotto le Stelle might not work if buyers stumble over the foreign brand name but its translation from the Italian ('under the stars') has romantic connotations of warm Italian evenings with music and dancing. Foreign titles are often given to perfume, clothing brands and cars to lend the power of suggestion. Zen Noir suggests manly power and a touch of mystery: the colour black is strong and bold (manly qualities) and Zen is oriental, mystical. The crime detective novels and related TV series feature Zen as the handsome protagonist, so these associations may work to enhance the product name's appeal. The command verb 'Master' empowers the target buyer.  L'Homme functions in a similar way with French sophistication and simple masculinity for a man's cologne, uncompromising, unfussy and clean
