Look at Slide 7 The forms and conventions used in our film and remind yourself of these aspects of your film.
Then go to Slide 10  How successful our project is as a film opening and identify these aspects, linking them in particular to how you create:

• suspense
• enigma
• uncertainty
• tension, apprehension
• terror, fearful excitement

The drama and thriller genre usually have narratives (theme/ story and characters) that include:

• conflict
• revenge
• kidnap
• theft
• chase, pursuit
• traps
• conspiracy, corruption, spying
• violence
• protagonists / antagonists
• heroes / villains
• police officers, detectives / criminals
