Aim of the lesson today is to practise the textual analysis of representation.
We use the sheet that we complete to demonstrate our research to the examiner.
We show that we have done background research into advertising to understand its codes and conventions.
The work is important as it is submitted in the Appendix.
It's in your own words - not copied or dictated.
Look at your final objective: in your Individual Portfolio you will write 1500 words on three advertisements chosen by you. You will also make two advertisements of your own. Finally, you'll evaluate your own advertisements and in your Appendix you will offer evidence that you have researched representation in advertising. The work that you do today in class and for prep goes into the Appendix of the evaluation.
