It's Reading Week! So for our starter activity, we listen to Jack Nicholson read Rudyard Kipling's The Elephant's Child in honour of our school play, performed later this week.
We then move to our advertising unit and discuss Beyonce's Pretty Hurts.
We discuss theoretical frameworks on body image and the representation of women, such as the protests during London Fashion Week and Soapbox views.
Look at how the magazine GQ airbrushed the the cover photo of Kate Winslett. We note her response.
Finally, if time, I show you how to trim a YouTube clip for use in your presentations.
