We analyse the film language in a short AA extract The Raid 2 in the prison scene. We notice

• camerawork tracking shots, focus pulls, close ups, extreme close ups, tracking shots, pan, POV, high angle shot, wide shot
• editing motivated edit, fast-paced, slow-paced, sound and vision editing, slowmo
• mise-en-scene realistic lighting, prison compound, mud, rain
• sound diegetic sound: bones breaking; non-diegetic sound: orchestral sound, rhythmic sounds

We look at a tutorial on using quadrants creatively to create interesting framing using as a case study Drive (2001). The tutorial is Every Frame A Painting.
