PHOTOSHOP: COMBINING LAYERS

Yesterday we learned how to cut out a perfume bottle and place it on an image as well as how to create text effects.
Today we learn how to replace the body of an image with another picture, in our case, a landscape goes into a person in mid-shot.

Our aim is to use this technique to make an impressive advertisement.

Post your achievements on your blog.

Our inspiration is the film poster for Kajaki.

Below: I made this out of three component parts: bottle + Grand Canyon + girl = ULTRA advertisement. I present it using a PICMONKEY collage to make clear the component parts.

To make an image like the impressive KAJAKI film poster:
1. In Photoshop,  select the clothing that you want to replace with a background image, using the magic selection tool.
2. Open in Photoshop the background image that you want to insert.
3. Select the healing brush tool and carefully paint it over the part of the background image that you want to 'pick up' on your healing brush
4. Return to the first image and 'paint' the background where you want it.
