Prep: watch the extract of the opening of Mission Impossible and write about what makes it a good example of the action adventure genre. Points may include:

• The spectacular setting
• Cruise looking physically like a typical action hero 
• Cruise showing 'heroic' qualities 
• How the soundtrack works to build different moods and atmospheres
• How the editing creates tension, suspense and excitement 
• The presence of exciting technology, vehicles and gadgets 

Aim to write about an A4 side or more and email it to me well before the lesson, please.
